Pillar 01

Housing

Safe, Stable, Family-Style Living

At Hope Ranch, we provide more than just a place to live—we create a safe, stable, and nurturing home where children can begin to heal and grow.

Many of the youth we serve come from environments marked by instability, neglect, or trauma. A consistent and supportive living environment is essential to rebuilding trust, developing healthy relationships, and establishing a sense of security.

Family-Style Homes

Every child at Hope Ranch becomes part of a family.

Our family-style homes are designed to reflect a healthy, functioning household built on respect, love, structure, and commitment. Each home includes up to six children who live together with trained Teaching Parents, creating a consistent and relational environment.

Teaching Parents

Teaching Parents play a central role in daily life. They provide guidance, structure, and support while modeling healthy family interactions. Through intentional relationships and daily routines, they help children learn and practice essential life skills.

Teaching Parents are extensively trained in:

  • Trauma-informed care and child development

  • Safe de-escalation and behavior management techniques

  • Strength-based approaches that build confidence and resilience

  • Creating opportunities for youth to learn, practice, and grow with support

In addition to providing care, Teaching Parents help youth develop practical skills such as:

  • Money management

  • Goal setting and future planning

  • Educational engagement

  • Accessing healthcare and support services

  • Self-advocacy and independence

Our homes are designed to reinforce both independence and support. Each family lives in a private, fully functional home within a duplex setting, allowing for both autonomy and immediate support from neighboring Teaching Parents when needed.

Through this pillar, we aim to provide:

  • A safe and consistent environment where children feel secure

  • Healthy family relationships that model trust and respect

  • Daily opportunities to build life skills and independence

  • A strong foundation for long-term stability and success

 Home Type

Family-type homes consisting of a two-family duplex feature:

  • a private kitchen and dining area

  • living room

  • individual bedrooms for a maximum of six children.

This two-family duplex design provides each family with a home as well as immediate support with neighboring teaching parents when needed.
