At Hope Ranch of Missouri, we believe education is crucial to a child’s development and well-being. Our second pillar is Education, highlighting the need for individualized programming and therapeutic intervention.

Hope Ranch of Missouri will create new realities for youth who have experienced trauma or have been unsuccessful in traditional educational settings, causing gaps in their learning and education.

Our DESE accredited school implements a hybrid model of instruction, including both online learning and one-on-one instruction with DESE certified Teachers. Our teachers understand the importance of cultivating a trauma-informed and trauma-sensitive environment by:

• Building positive relationships with students and promoting a sense of belonging.

• Using trauma-informed practices, such as creating predictable routines, providing sensory breaks, and using motivational strategies.

• Focusing on students’ strengths and skills rather than their deficits, promoting a growth mindset and positive self-esteem.

• Providing social-emotional support, such as counseling services and peer mentoring, to help students develop coping skills and resilience.
